I have heard a couple long beards and seen them. Yet, they are not as vocal yet, are you finding this to be the case in your areas. I am sure a week or two from now they herd a lot more.

On Monday I heard a huge gobbler fight involving three Toma and a gaggle of hens cackeling and purring. Fighting purrs going on throughout the fracas. It lasted for a few minutes then - it seems - the main flock walked off in one direction with a gobbler yodeling and two other single birds gobbled off in two other directions. These are the only birds that I have encountered - a single flock of about 12 - and they weren't in that country when I went back in there yesterday....

Thanks guys for the info. It is as I had thought that they might be henned up or the weather has something to do with it. Either way I am sure there will be some birds put down this week[up]

But I am sure that by mid B week and on they will be sounding off nice and load:D

Hopefully, we will see some photos from todays youth hunt with my Hero's, our kids[up][up][up][up]

Again, good luck all and lay those birds down[up][up]

Just got off the phone. owner of a 12 acre spot I have says at least 30-40 birds (more than half are jakes and gobblers) are roosting in the same trees every night and walking the same path to the nearby fields every morning for the last 2 months. Monday morning should be good[up]....
