Strictly Archery in Washington Township. They are in my opinion the best local archery shop in the area. The owners are good guys who are very passionate and knowledgeable about archery. They are located right on Rt. 57 a bit west of Washington.

I live in Glen Gardner and from my place it takes about 15 minutes to get to.

Hope that helps.

You live in my favorite deer hunting town! I used to hunt an 18 acre piece right along the Charlestown Reserve... BIG bucks and a lot of them! I lost that piece 2 years ago..[sad] Great deer hunting in that area! Still a lot of farms that grow crops instead of cattle!...[up]

Strictly is a good shop and all the above statements are true. However, they are extremely pricey on everything. That being said, Tommy and Ray are probably the best bow technicians around.

I bought a Hoyt Ultramag from Tommy at Strictly Archery earlier this year and the bow is shooting great. These guys really know their stuff. Tommy really helped me out with my shooting form. They are a little pricey but i'd rather go here and pay a little more for the quality product and great service than go somehwere else. As stated earlier they are right on 57 west of washington next to the community college out there. You will not not be disappointed.

I would say the Owls nest is your best choice,Strictly archery is WAY WAY to expensive, they know their stuff but they aren't worth what they expect you to pay them. Jim at the Owls nest is a great technician and very reasonably priced.

Hey WWP where in Bethlehem twshp did you move?

Jim I know what piece you are talking about I think. Was it right off of Charlestown RD with a brick house and a bunh of pine trees in the back? How long were you allowed to hunt it for. If it's the same property I know who hunts it now,a certain excavator that likes to screw people out of their hunmting property,he's done it numerous times to people with other properties.

Also, if you don't mind driving a little, Weaknecht's in Kutztown PA is a great little shop. Good bow technicians, and the best prices you will find. They have good hours for the working man as well, being open 2-8 pm weekdays, and I think 12-5 on Saturday. The deal in Hoyt and Bowtech, but also have a few other brands.

here is a link to their shop:

The owls nest is in Alpha. Where on Black brook? By the Christmas tree farm in between Charlestown Rd and Manor drive,or past that? I hope that you didn't buy one of those Toll Bros Houses. I have a place that I can probably get you into hunting,I haven't hunted there in a couple of years but I know that he lets people hunt and he wants the deer dead. When you get settled in we'll have to hook up and I will show you around,I live in Belvidere but I grew up in Hampton and I am there a lot.

Toll brother houses are JUNK,trust me I've done plenty of work in them and they are nothing but prefab particle board that are slapped together. Take a ride in one of their developements and just look at how wavey the siding is on them. I know quite a few people that have had nothing but problems with them, most of the walls are fastened with staples,oh I could go on and on. They are beautiful to look at but aren't built well at all.

Hey Woj..I'll take you and show you the place, we have to talk to him because I don't know how many guys he has hunting in there this year.

Stealthy - I will be, as of tomorrow, living around the corner. My new house is on Kalan Farm Rd. I don’t know if you remember but I met you last fall when you were checking in that dandy 8 pointer at Lakeside Deli. My buddy and I were driving back from hunting and saw your buck on the carrier behind your SUV and stopped. I was the big guy. Small world…. I’ll probably be shooting most evenings at home so if you ever want to shoot a few arrows just let me know.

DBuck – Yes I did buy one of the houses in the Toll Brothers development off Black Brook. I had heard that Toll Brothers had some issues in MA a few years ago so I was cautious going into this house. I went over the house with a fine toothcomb with my buddy who is a contractor. We didn’t find any problems that any 8-year-old house could have. I also did some other inquiries about Toll with people I trust in real estate and there were no flags raised Hopefully overtime you won’t be proven right. I also hope this doesn’t mean you won’t show me around. You are also welcome to come shoot if you want as well.
