I handled a GSG-5 .22 at a sporting goods store today and it felt nice. I read problems with the first generation rifles. $495 is steep for a .22 rifle but im just curious if they are all that they are cracked up to be. With the price of ammo I am looking into a .22

Personally, my Ruger 10/22 (app $271) may not be as cool looking, but it's dead on accurate and reliable. I guess the question is what is your intent of use? If home defense, the GSG might be easier to use. If a plinker, target or varmint...the cost doesn't justify IMO. Pus, you can order tactical style rifles from Ruger at much less.
