Anyone here whos in Law Enforcement, EMT, Firefighter, or the National Guard, get called to help out with the Katrina problems? I'll find out if I'm going this week, my Department is sending people sometime next week or the week after[up]

My Department was called but they only send guys with 5 years or more. Since I just got on I was not allowed to go....Clifton FD....Those people need all the help they can get..Sad

My mother was called up with her CERT team. They were only put on stand by. Ambulance Corp is yet to hear anything, but I can not go. Not enough time off left. Wish I had the time though. I was there for 9/11 as were they. Time to return the favor.

Yeah I was responding to the towers when tower 2 fell, spent the month of September there.

Pse&g sent a bunch of linemen a week ago but the wife didnt want me to go with her being pregnant.
They are doing 2 week shifts down there and i am trying to talk her into letting me go next week.
