My sister works for a dermitoligist's office and the doctor is giving away his 19.6 Hewes redfisher and he knows I fish so he asked if I wanted it. I dont know anything about it besides that its on a trailer with a flat tire. My question is are they good boats? I checked out their website and they look like a pretty sweet back bay boat, doesnt look like it would do well in rought water but what the hell, its free! I figured it would be a great starter boat for me. My familys always had boats and we currently have a 17 Sea Hunt center console sitting in my drive way but it would be real cool to have my own boat at the age of 21.

so anyone ever heard or owned one?

The Hewes "Bonefisher" and "Redfisher" are standard equipment for guides in the Keys and all around the Gulf.
I cought my first Tarpon while on a Bonefisher ;Yup good bay boats and I would imagion on other "Skinny water" too.
