I hunt with a sidelock Smokepole and a LongBow any others that hunt Traditional gear?

just started this year with a recurve. took one doe with it so far. ITS TOUGH!

outlaw, what make recurve? I use a Ron LeClair Shrew 54" 54#@27" draw LongBow

bought mine used for $300 orig wanted $400. new the bow costs about 700. it is a golden hawk 50# @ 30" i pull 28" and weighed it at about 45# its a short bow, string length : 48.75"

For everyone that shoots Traditional Bows. April 15, 16 & 17 the Appalachian Bowmen are doing a 3-d shoot at Whittingham WMA. This one is for traditional bows only, in August they will have one for all bows. For more info please goto Appalachian Bowmen. I will be there Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I shoot Custom Leon Stewart longbows,one 57# one 67#.Both have Rattlesnake Skin finish on the back.Also have a Jim Brakenberry Drifter T/D 61#.Always looking for more,wheelin and dealin.

Bacs,great dinner,great time.I can't wait for the jamboree again.Bin thinking about the trad course last couple weeks.Might set it up a little diffrent.Going down to Assunpink on the 9&10th of april.Taking one of my shorthairs for a hunter test,while i'm there gonna look over a new area.Talked to Jack,wanted to make sure he put the trad shoot on the jamboree flier.He said no problem,might get more trad guys to come.Also looking foward to the game dinner again.Take care,Griz.
