I use the silver treated clothing for my base layers. I would agree with the above, that it is not necessary in outerwear. If it is the same price, it doesn't hurt.
I would avoid activated carbon clothing.
The thermal properties are interesting. I didn't think deer saw far, if at all, into the infrared spectrum. Even if they can, any food I keep in my outerwear tends to be the temp of the surrounding air. So, I don't think I'm radiating much heat.
