As far as eating the meat, the deer cross over fences in a number of areas that would also be an issue for hunters outside of zone 54. I really wouldn't be too concerned. The fish are another story though. IMO, catch and release only, since most of the testing back in the day was conducted over Lake Denmark.
During the 6 day, the "orange army" usually drive certain areas, not all. I have never had a problem with driving.
