just wondering if anyones heard anything of kingfish yet, specifically in the bays but any report is welcome

was at lbi last week fished for them but didnt catch any the bait stores said they are just starting to show up

I don't think I ever caught any in the bay but always got a mess a few feet off the jetties. There a migrating school fish who like structure.

Could be the reason I only caught them near the jetties as I mainly fish the northern areas. Maybe the water gets to cold or the blues get them before they have a chance to round the hook?[confused]

I thought bloodworms was the bait of choice for kingfish.

always have done well for the kings late august up to october on clam in the surf. Need to use smaller hooks though.

Been some talk in Briganteen on the beach front and to the south. A few been taken in GB but no heavy showing yet.

The Kings are in Great Bay now, along with Porgies and the occasional Spot.

From Scotts reports and Mikes there's some, was thinking about towards the end of the week hanging a pot or 2 over the side up in the stakes givin it a whorl?

havent seen any kings or spots down in Sea Isle yet.

Spots don't know if they will show this year hardly any been seen. Id like to try them for Fluke i hear they have killed the big slabs out of Absecon. Don't know where they had been coming from that the Rip-tide I see has them.

Was in oc all last week fished the surf 3 days at first light till 8am not a hit from kings. small sand sharks in corsons at nite

A guy from my marina had 40 some Tuesday. We caught 3 yesterday while fishing for blowfish
