The NJ Animal Rights Alliance (NJARA) and the BEAR Group are joining forces to attend next Tuesday's (April 21st) Public Hearing on proposed changes to NJ's Game Code!

"NJ - Bus for game code hearingPublic hearing

Dear NJARA Members and Supporters:

One of the reasons why the 2005 bear lawsuit was successful in
court was because we attended and spoke out at the game code
hearings held each year in Trenton. The next game code hearing
is on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, State Museum, 205 West State Street,
Trenton, NJ 08625 at 6:30pm.

This is our opportunity to tell the NJ Fish and Game Council what
we think of their proposal.

The proposal and other information is available for viewing at the
NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife's website:
http://www.nj.gov/dep/rules/notices/040609b.html

NJARA has joined with the Bear Group to make this easy for you to
attend by providing a bus from North and Central Jersey at the
following locations (unfortunately, we cannot schedule buses
throughout NJ). A suggested donation of $20 for each rider helps
to pay the cost of the bus.

NOTE: Reservations for bus transportation down to Trenton for
GAME CODE PUBLIC HEARING must be made by: Thursday, April 16,
11am. We need to determine if we have the critical mass of riders
to defray the cost of the bus. Please contact Janet at
[email protected] to reserve your seat on the bus.

FIRST PICK UP SITE:
HillCrest Comm. Center
1810 Macopin Road
West Milford
Bus riders must park in the extreme left side parking lot (when
facing the building), next to the gym. The bus will depart at
approximately 3:30pm.

SECOND SITE FOR PICK UP:
Willowbrook Mall
Wayne, NJ
Park in the open space between Macy's and Bloomingdale, which
is near the entrance by Old Navy.
The bus will arrive here approximately 4:30pm and depart
approximately 4:45pm.

THIRD SITE FOR PICK UP:
Borders in Bridgewater (across from Mall)
290 Commons Way, Bridgewater
Park in the corner of the parking lot furthest point across from
Borders (closest to the Commons Way street).
Bus will arrive approximately 5:30pm and depart approximately
5:45pm for Trenton.

We anticipate leaving Trenton approximately 9 to 9:30pm.

Thanks,
Angi Metler, Director

That would really be a shame if those buses happened to get a flat tire...... [hihi]

I wonder what they would do if a few guys in camo. paid the donation and got on the bus. Maybe like 30 of us could get together and take up all the seats[hihi]

Jakes,

I was thinking the same thing. I could use their gas instead of my own. ( I don't know if I can afford the "suggested $20 donation") I wonder how the bus ride home will be if I stand up and speak at the hearing?

I also hope they got the appropriate approvals from the malls and community centers for the parking of the vehicles. I would hate to see them all be towed.

I plan to be wearing a BLOND WIG AND STRETCH PANTS (You know I'll blend) and a Groucho Marks Nose and Glasses on the way back. THAT should be "Camo" enough![hihi]

President of the New Jersey Animal Rights Alliance (NJ-ARA), a group that largely exists to oppose bear hunting; this year the group began acting as a "fiscal sponsor" for seven SHAC defendants' legal defense funds. They are awaiting trial on federal charges including terrorism-related felonies.
Former Vice President of the now-defunct Animal Rights America, another New Jersey group that served as a fiscal sponsor for SHAC since at least 2001, when British reporters funneled $1,300 to British SHAC leaders in a highly publicized sting operation. Animal-rights power couple Leslie and Nanci Alexander (acknowledged as PETA's largest individual donors) used Animal Rights America in 2001 to funnel another $1,000 to SHAC. Leslie Alexander owns the Houston Rockets.
Locked herself inside a bear trap earlier this year to protest attempts to capture a bear that had terrified several New Jersey families by breaking into their homes. Also arrested for disrupting annual pigeon hunts in Pennsylvania.

I guess this is her. there was a pic of her as well but it didn't copy what an ugly hag no wonder she has no life!

SHAC 7 were all convicted and given assorted federal sentences. One of the high points of my career.

Why dont we just reserve as many seats as possible so they will end up paying for a bunch of unneeded buses.

We could also go to the pickyp sites and video tape the antis just to annoy them.

This is a "donation." It's not a pay to ride deal. So show up in your street clothes play nice with the anti's, pack the bus full. When asked about your $20.00 donation, simply be polite and say I can't afford it. They have to let your ride anyway. When you get there sign up to speak, and then just let it rip, let them known just how important huntig is at the meeting. You use their gass, and their banner, and trash them all at the same time[up]
