typical anti "do as I say, not as i do...."

RICHMOND, Virginia - An executive for an anti-animal cruelty group says her 16-year-old blind and deaf dog died after she accidentally left him in her hot car for four hours.

Robin Starr, the CEO of the Richmond Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, says she didn't realize "Louie" was in the car until noon. Starr's husband, Ed, told the Richmond Times-Dispatch he put the dog in her car as she got ready for work Aug. 19. She often took the dog to work with her.

Robin Starr took the dog to two clinics, but he died of kidney failure.
The National Weather Service says the temperature had reached 91 degrees by noon that day.

The board of the SPCA says it still supports Starr, who has been CEO since 1997 and does not plan to resign. It was unclear whether she would be charged.

if a hunter did this it would be blown out of proportion by this kind of group, but she doesn't have any consequences. How do you forget about a dog anyway. I never do and when I am at a store on a hot day and see one in the car I usually call the cops after 10 minutes. Its not fair to the animal.[wallmad][wallmad][wallmad]

It is a sad deal all the way around regardless of who she is. People make mistakes and this happens to human life as well. There should be a charge for lack of responsibility, but we must not step down to their level as hunters.Us sportsmen alone support wildlife habitat that insures survival of all animal, even non huntable species. hopefully a anti will see this and educate themselves a little bit, realizing without us there is no certain future...[up]

this lady is guilty of the very act she worked to stop. How the hell could she keep her job???

That would be like a police officer found guilty of stealing but keeps his job.

This just shows how ridiculously assanine that whole group is.

If you want to make a little money, write a book. If you want to make alot of money, start a religion. If you cant pull that off, then start an "animal right's" orginization.....[eyeroll]
