I was up to Zone #13 today. The acorns where falling everywhere. More than I've seen in years.Looks good.

Yea, we should have a good harvest of bucks this year with all the acorns that fell last year.

I could not walk in the woods where I hunt without steping on a dozen of them at a time and the deer were turning down bait piles due to the abundance of the acorns on the ground.

The racks should look real good and healthy.

Acorn crop is good, and falling early, Horses are getting HEAVY winter coats Early, Baits that are normally slow are being HAMMERED ( 25lbs. of corn/night ).
All this adds up to one thing !

Hkdonfishn and I were out Yesterday Scouting, and let me tell you, I haven't see this many acorns in awhile. Everwhere we went there were oaks trees dropping acorns, Like we drop money on Hunting!!!

I think the dry weather is causing the acrons to drop early.

I don't know about the natural dropping of acorns but the squirrels are making me think about getting a helmet for me and the kids waiting for the school bus in the morning... It's like waiting in a hail storm!!!

I put out 50 lbs of sweet feed sun night went back up mon 12:30 in the afternoon it was all gone, My kids to they killed 100 lbs of food in 18 hrs.

Thats only around 12lbs of food per kid there super dad!

I could have used a hard hat Monday on Stand. These things where dropping like crazy.

I am in an area, where there are oak trees, and beach trees, along with the corn, sweet feed, and blocks I have on the ground, so they have a buffet to chose from. But sitting in stand and getting rained on by all those nuts is nuts!! Yes I know I left myself open on that comment!!!!
