Says you, from an inside the industry perspective, repros are definitely the way to go, provided, you actually use those that are made correctly and not blown out of molds that should have been retooled 15 years ago. There's more than a few companies out there with repros that fit that criteria. On a plus side, you don't deal with shrunken heads, overextended gill flaps, emaciated gills and gill rakers, distorted scale patterns, and just plain incorrect fitting forms with misplaced skins wrapped on them, but hey, what do I know. If I didn't know better I'd say your best friend is a taxidermist who just can't bring himself to use top of the line repros like he says he'd use.
