Hunters reported bagging at least 297 bears during New Jersey's weeklong black bear hunt that ended Saturday as state officials continued to investigate charges of activists confronting hunters.

A final count of bruins killed during the second hunt in 35 years is expected to be released today. The total is not expected to surp [no swearing please] the 328 bears killed in the last hunt two years ago.

Yesterday state officials said they were investigating a report that someone slashed the tires of a hunter parked near the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

A camo trail camera in the vicinity of the car would put a stop to this.

I posted it Saturday. Some guy in WayWay had his trail cam mounted in the windshield of his truck.
I figured we would have broken the number from 2003 but maybe the weather caused some bears to den up a little early. Also, there were less hunters this year and all of the BS that went on in 2004 didnt help the hunter numbers.

Congrats to the 297 succesful hunters!
haha keep um going
