Heading out this afternoon. I took a doe last sunday. Hoping for another deer this week. From what I have seen they feed mid to late afternoon.

No luck this afternoon. It got windy around 3:00. I stayed in my stand until around 4:30. One weekend left. Going to bait fiday after work and hopefully fill my last tag. Good luck all.

Best bet is to stay right until last light. Yesterday, on a property with plenty of deer, I had single buck fawn show all day. Then in the last 15 minutes of shooting light, 16 differnet does and fawns came in...

Had I left at 4:30 though I would missed seing all of them.

Good luck.

Over 50% of my afternoon hunts are take at last light, If I can't make out what I'll be shooting at, I work my back to the truck where the fields are still pretty much lit up. Stayed one time and had a buck walk right under me with less than 5 min legaltime, unfortunately not enough points, but taught me a good lesson. Ps If you hunted for that many hours ,whats another 15-20 min but less time in traffic. I've had more than 1 hunt ruined by someone leaving 30 min early, but hey that's public land hunting.
