There is no firearm registration anywhere in the country (except NY & CT now for semi automatic rifles). The firearms ID card once issued to you just allows purchase of long arms. You can go buy a shotgun or rifle with the card and no NJ doesn't register any long guns.

Go to Pa and buy an air rifle. They don't even ask to see your DL.

    Handguns are registered in NJ.
If only Jack O'Connor had written about the .270's effectiveness on Zombies, he might be known today as a decent gun scribe, and that cartridge might enjoy more widespread use...

^^^ if they are purchased here by a NJ resident with a P2P then yes. If bought legally in another state then you move here & become a resident then no they are not. (unless your stupid enough to partake in voluntary registration) But I was talking about long guns, they aren't registered in NJ.

No, long guns aren't registered. But how long do you think it would take a team from the AG's office to go to 300+ FFL holders in the state and collect those 4473 forms if they wanted them? I'd be disappointed in their expertise if they couldn't do that task in a week's time.
