Byram looking for bow hunters for town owned land hunts

Byram Township needs bow hunters to hunt 5 of their township properties this year. For information contact the Township Clerk's office.

Thanks, Did you mention why nobody really hunts this area??? Dog's running off leash, people riding bikes, people wailking /hiking through as you try to hunt. And you need proof of at least 1 million in liability insurance. To pretty much hunt in a park...

the liability insurance takes 30 days to go through, probably be done with the applications by then...maybe not thought out too well.

I just put it out there because too many here on NJH complain about no places to deer hunt. Byram has a problem not finding enough hunters. So here's an opportunity. I have nothing to do with this program nor do I participate. As far as insurance, join the Federation and you're covered on day one. Too late for this year? Look into it for next year. Don't shoot the messenger....

^^^^Good for Byram! At least they're not thinking about professional groups and recognizing their are qualified hunters in their midst!

"While even the ethical hunter may never enjoy the full approval of the non-hunting public, the public may at least tolerate them. And as public awareness of the hunter's significant role in conservation increases, anti-hunting sentiment may recede.
