    Geese load and choke recommendations?

Just got invited for my first goose hunt this fall and was wondering where i should start as far as loads and choke. I'll be hunting out of a blind over decoys. I've got a Benelli M2 with 3" chamber. I don't mind spending money on premium shells as I will probably not be doing this often and only taking a few shots. If money were no object, which shells would you buy and which choke should I use? I have IC, M, IM, and Full.

    Thanks,
    Mike

If you use 3" steel, go with an IM with 1, 2's. Use M with BB. Don't waste your money on "hevi-shot" loads. You will get more distance but who cares. You can go through a lot of shells if the shooting gets hot.
I personally like 3.5" BB and BBB through a Patternmaster Choke.

Just went out for my first Goose hunt last Saturday. I went with improved and the Winchester Expert hi-velocity 2 3/4" #2's.

We didn't take shots that were too far out, probably longest was 35 yards, but that load-out worked perfectly. Other guys I was with shot 3" BB's but we all performed the same and all put down around 20 birds as a group.

Great time, you're gonna have a ton of fun!!

When times are tough and flocks are small, take your time and shoot them all.
