    Catfish Bait

Any recommendations for what bait works best for Catfish? Not looking for monsters, just looking for a new species to catch for the little ones.
    Fishing mostly in local ponds.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Nightcrawlers are the simplest and easiest. Chicken liver works wonders but its hard to keep on the hook, so what i do is use is dental floss and wrap it around the chicken liver on the hook. And last, cut up some sunnies. All great choices

If you hit the deleware river right now you can still catch shad. Cut up fresh shad is one of the best baits going because of its oil content. It also works well in crab traps

I use cut up hot dogs. Cleared a rogue channel cat from a friends koi pond a few years ago in about 10 min.

Nightcrawlers and chicken livers or even gizzards, gizzards stay on the hook better.

nightcrawlers. simple, cheap and they catch a ton of catfish. I only use the worms for catching catfish.
