    The only way that that fish is 10" is if your thumb is 3 1/2" long

    thanks, just wanted to be sure what it was, since the only other trout I have seen have been stocked rainbows.

    The reason they don't get any bigger ,may be you and others eating 10 inch fish!!!

    the average size of a brookie is 6-13 inches, with the ny state record being 6lbs and 22" long...they aren't monster fish. Most people that I know keep brook/brown/rainbow trout 9" or longer. One of these guys cooked whole with a helping of veggies makes some pretty good eating..

    possibly, however this lake isnt stocked nor is the creek that feeds into it, and a creek that connects to the feeder creek of this pond was stocked with browns this year.

    If they stock ten inch fish then you have to eat ten inch fish
