    Purchasing game

I would like to get in touch with local central jersey hunters to purchase deer meat or an entire animal in case anyone has more than they can use. Anyone interested?

That is not legal in the state of NJ you cannot sell any part of a wild game animal. You might have better luck asking if anyone has meat they want to donate. Many times it happens later in the year were hunters will offer meat from a deer they shoot if they have too much.

just keep an eye on the pages here. someone will have extra.....and FWIW, I see D'Artagnan Gourmet Products is selling farm raised venison for ~ $20. a pound, so it is considered a delicacy in spite of what some people say about "ewww....deer meat"

Where do PDs let you purchase a deer? I’ve asked many local PDs in warren and the NJSP and they say they give em to the butcher because I wanted extra venison and still can’t figure out how to go about it. I asked if there was a list I could be on and they said no

When you find a nice fresh one call the Station in that area and tell them where it is etc., and ask them if you can pick it up and bring it in for a permit. Some of the road kills can have quite a bit of bloodied, bruised meat, which might not be readily apparent. Sometimes you get lucky and get one struck just in the head. So, I would look it over good before bothering. Good luck.
