Nice
Hello all,
My efforts to find a property to bear hunt on have been falling short so far. I am hoping to find someplace just for bear hunting this season. Not looking to spend outrageous amounts of money since the season is only 2 weeks long but am happy to pay and contribute to maintaining/ improving the property. I make sure I always practice ethical hunting techniques and am mostly interest in bow hunting the fall season. Please let me know if you want the bears off your property or of you know of anyone who is looking to manage their bear population. I am insured as well. Message me with any info and best of luck to you all.
I say this to all the greenhorn bear hunters I meet. I can tell you as a landowner in the thick of bear country that the public land is often better than private land on the outskirts of the larger tracts public grounds. Bears, are for the most part, shot at yea-round and looked at more as a pests. BTW, i dont hunt bear nor do i have any desire.
I have no idea.
I agree with you swampbuck. Unfortunately all state lands are still closed to bear hunting so it is illegal to hunt them on any WMA or state parks. Its a very sore subject for me because last summer I scouted out a perfect area on a WMA that I consistently had multiple bears on camera and I made a plan to hunt there until the governor banned bear hunting on all state ownee land. That is why I am still looking for private property. Its been a tough time.
what about federal land ? the gap is loaded with bears .
Do you need special permits to hunt federal land?
