There's a first time for everything

There are truly some garbage people in this world. I was going to hunt public land in zone 5 on the Saturday of 6 day firearm. I pull into the lot and see 3 other vehicles there with 3 guys chatting. I go introduce myself and ask generally where were they going to hunt. They claim way in the back, say ok I'll be up front because I have to leave around 9. As I'm walking to my stand that has been there for 6 years I get flashed by one of these guys 30 yards from my stand. So I'm irritated they lied and also I didn't want to ruin anyone's hunt. Today in come back to my stand and it has been tampered with. Someone completely removed the screw for the ladder support bar and set it on top on the bar. I was just here last Saturday sitting in the stand and nothing was wrong with it. Can't believe someone would touch my stuff. I hope I got a picture of him on camera and I'm going to post it all over. People are such D bags and some call themselves hunters.

BTW I left a not in one of the cars and never heard from the guys. I'm going to start small game hunting my deer spot the rest of the season. If you did this and are reading this kiss my ass
I once got a small deer discount from the butcher

I got a lot of respect for honest guys that hunt public land.

So sad,,,,,,I went to one of my stands last week and it was gone. Can't imagine messing or stealing someone's stuff, but apparently it doesn't bother many people.

Public land does suck. Been hunting a piece for 10 years now and the last three years it's been hell with other guys setting up right next to you. I mean 15-20 yards from me is total Bs

Thats rough. Ive never had too much trouble in state woods but I intentionally go where most people arent willing to i.e. walking far. That being said I always hold my breath for a second when I get there to see if my gear is still there. I had one camera stolen a week before 6 day a few years ago and since then I go to areas where it is difficult to get to.

you would think that since the hunting community is so small we would be more respectful towards each other.....but I guess there are dishonest people in all walks of life. BTW private land isn't much better, some character stole my camera.
