So I went to one of my hunting spots this morning, got to the parking area around 5:15 and got out and started to get dressed. I was about halfway done and a really nice buck came strolling THROUGH THE PARKING AREA! He walked about 40 or so yards away from me, grunting the whole way. I couldn't really see how many points he was, but his rack was pretty nice...even in the dark. After I got in the woods, all I saw was two squirrels!

    Gotta love when that happens
Economic disaster begins with a philosophy of doing less and wanting more. All values must be won by contest, and after they have been won, they must be defended.

Coming out, I've found deer had walked in my foot steps going in, only to see nothing on stand. Thinking of walking in and back tracking and set up on the side of the trail.

He wasn't grunting - he was laughing.

I love it when I'm in the woods and my wife texts me from my hunting camper. "deer feeding 20 feet from trailer." Meanwhile, I'm watching squirrles. Or listening to that Pileated Woodpecker who really has a death wish sometimes. (Disclaimer- Any anti-hunter reading this. I will not shoot the woodpecker, it is not a game animal, I am being sarcastic. Do you understand that Mrs. bear lady?)
