Hey guys, does anyone know where to get dicalcium phosphate in central jersey. I made a lick with 40 pounds of red trace mineral salt, a salt block but i hear it is good to mix in the dical for the horns and the milk. Anyone ever have luck with this??

dical can be gotten at the agway in morristown on ridgedale ave, call and ask for it, they will special order it for you, but you have to pay for it in advance. I got 2 50 pound bags there this spring to make my mineral sites with, I had to get the loose red trace mineral salt to blend with it at tractor supply. I mixed the 2 at a 1 to 1 ration and the deer love it. dig a 3' by 3' hole, 6" deep, blend materials with the next 6 " of soil, leaving a depression and not returning the top 6 " of soil removed. clear as mud?

I get mine at Penwell feed store in Penwell. off route 57 between Washington and Hacketstown. I have been using it for 5 years now and have noticed bigger racks in the area. Since it's not a controlled area, I cannot actually say that it improves antler growth for sure, but that's what everyone tells me. I also mix in feed grade dried molasses to get them hooked. Don't over do the di-cal. Probably around a 4-5 to 1 mix.
