    Just got one done at Howell gun works, $60, I swear I remember $40-45 last year, cant be positive though.
    -I had a good quote, but Hillary deleted it-

    Here in NC, there's NO CHARGE for a NICS check ... & most local FFLs are charging around $25 for transfers.

    Oh, I almost forgot ... Get yourself a CCW permit & you'll never need a purchase permit again ... EVER.

    (open carry requires no permit in NC either)

    Funny thing is what you described is not required. You moved here from NY. You bring legally owned guns to your new home in NY- nothing needed. NY brainwashes guys and makes them think they need to send some confirmation that paperwork is transferred. Give them a big fat middle finger next time.
