Not understanding why its taking so long to get pistol permits

two years ago i got my FID card, and 2 pistol permits, took about 4/5 months, 5/6 months ago i put in for 3 more pistol permits i put in for 3 pistol permits in the beginning of august of 2017, why is this taking longer than the initial process, i don't have a record, i live in a small town belmar, monmouth county, something with this new governor we got? should i get a lawyer to handle it, if a lawyer any recommendations i called the police dept. couple times and they don't seem to be returning my calls, not sure why getting permits is taking longer than doing the whole process any suggestions?

If they don't return your calls then call and ask for a meeting with the Chief of Police.

It's called Fascism and some of our police are indulging in it. .

Just did the online app for the background check. Will drop paperwork off at PD dept. On monday. We'll see. Last time i applied on dec.27th and didnt get the permit until may 5th. My buddy did one last year and it took only like 5 weeks. Go figure.
