Of course. "FID" is ONLY needed to purchase. You should have it updated anyway because you will not be able to purchase another if it doesn't match your drivers license.

I have not purchased a handgun since 1989. I reviewed the current laws and noticed that they have added a mental health form. Does this mean that you have to fill out this form along with the handgun purchase permit? Also the form is a little confusing, the way I understand it is even if you have seen a physcologist as an out patient for say marital counsoling, job loss with monetary problems, physical health problems or the death of a spouse or child you have to fill out this form. Has it become this restrictive?

I am moving into my new house in less than 2 weeks and the first thing Im, doing is transfer my new address to my driver's lic. ,NJ firearms ID , and my carry permits. Im making calls right now to get everything in order to streamline it.

What's the deal with the "voluntary" firearms registration form ? And my second question is who in thier right mind would do that with any type of longgun in this state? It's like you are just asking for them to confiscate your stuff in the future .

You will have no problems with your carry permits. Most can be done over the phone. You can do Florida online and you can continue to carry with your old address but if you want your new address on your permit you will have to send $15.00 and a new picture.

NJ FPID, well, that's another story.
