I have been doing some work creating Google Earth compatible maps of some of the WMAs I want to check out as well as the ones I have been to. I wanted to share with everyone the work I have done so I put together a web page with the maps. Please check them out! If you want a particular map created (WMA, etc) email me on the web site and I will add it to the list for conversion.

Do you have Google Earth installed?

If so, try opening Google Earth first...

If this still doesn't work, right click on the link to the map and save it to your desktop first, then open it with Google Earth's "File/Open" menu. Hope this helps, let me know.

this is exactly what I was looking for. Being new to black river I was looking for something like this, to show me where things were. I was at the archery range this past sunday and was just thinking man if only I knew where this was in relation to the rest of the 3,000 acres...thanks!!!

the only suggestion I would have is maybe putting in the deer zones. Black River is 8 and 9 i believe, maybe even some of 13..that would be even more helpful.

    nice work though!

bayonne: Try to save the file locally first, then open it with google earth directly (using file open from inside google earth). Its probably an issue with the browser you are using or a file assocation thing... let me know if this works or not so I can try to help further.

mcr: I'm really glad this helps - I hope it does for others as well. Spread the word. As for zone organization, I will do that as soon as I have a few more maps created - great idea! Also, I already have zone boarders listed in the deer zone list. If you open these files at the same time it will show the zone in relation to the WMA. As of right now only zone 6 is listed... I need to draw the other zones and will do so when I get time. Right now I am working on assunpink WMA and am taking requests via email on the website.

    enjoy -nj95k

cant get them to work. I save locally and open with Google earth and it still opens a browser and shows me the XML like above. Also tried opening GA first then clicking the links. What am I doing wrong?
