public lands that allow deer hunting

We at Hunters Helping the hungry are working on a list of municipal, county lands that allow deer hunting. Some have bid process for clubs/individuals, others have a application for individuals (or teams). so far we have over 15 muncipalities/countys that have a process. Most applications are in the June/July time frame.

We hope to have a list started in May. go to Hunters Helping the Hungry Hunters Helping the Hungry -.

    we have a facebook page
and working on an instagram listing.

    more to come

In addition, there will be changes to the fees charged to hunters to donate deer. (no fee, unless small deer)

We need more butchers. if you know any butcher that might be interested, please PM

the list we are working on is for public property that is open to deer hunting. But there might be a speciall permit application that is involved. Right now we have over 15 municipalities and park systems that allow deer hunting but you must apply for a special permit.

Still not understanding why you are gathering a list for public places. What is the scope of your nature? I just don't want to see another public hunting system destroyed

to give hunters access to property. Many of the municipal and parks don't publize the availablitiy of these permits. I'm told that Hillsbourgh has left over permits, Plainsboro had left over permits. many hunters complain they don't have access to land and/or it is too expensive to rent. These are oportunities that may cost a permit fee, but do offer opportunites to deer hunt. Many of the public lands are offering hunting to help reduce deer populations that are damaging forests, destroying crops, increase auto accidents. If hunters don't step up and help reduce deer population in some of these critical areas, the municipalities will just engage sharp shooters to do it instead. or worse yet; have farmers shoot and bury the deer.
