    New hunting property?

I was thinking of asking permission to hunt a farm but didn't really know what to ask or how to say it. Any suggestions?

what i have done for situations like this is just simply written up a letter on intent i guess you could say and put in it my contact info and let it go from there. i gained a couple properties this way that im still waiting to permit season to start on. but local farm by me loved the idea and had no problem saying yes... i think it also works more in knowing what they grow too because sometimes they have a "Nuisance" problem with deer etc that they are more then willing to let hunters come in and help out.

Just link the property owner to the thread where you posted a google map for everyone to see, asking where to set a stand...im sure he will see you're a great guy and give you permission right away

Just knock on the door looking presentable and ask. Dont ask if he allows hunting, ask if he allows BOWHUNTING. The thought of strangers walking around with guns turns some people off. Also, if you have a kid bring him with you." Awe your kid is so cute" is a great ice breaker.

good idea pay the $50 or what ever it is and get hunting insurance from federatied sportsman....shows your serious and not some wacko and puts the home owner alittle at ease.
