Just curious, does anyone shop at Harbor Freight. I am a firm believer in buy once, buy right, but there are lots of tools I only use once and spend lots of money for. Anyone find any good deals on products that are not that bad??

Everything I ever bought from there was sh*t...you get what you pay for, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

I have bought tools and stuff from them. Most of it is China's worst made, but will get the job done. When I lived out in TX I would shop at a store they had there. Stuff like clamps, tarps, vises, were just fine. I bought a steel chop saw there for cheap and it has worked great for years.

It's like the dollar store for tools

Is there a store in NJ?

    i bought some stuff there..

    throw away stain brushes
dremel value pack of sanding bits
a winch for my quad plow
so far, everything is still working fine, the pliers i bought were a little on the cheaper side, but hey for the price and just a spare set in the basement to end up rusty anyway, it was just fine..

but there are lots of tools I only use once
Thus Harbor Freight! I've a buddy of mine who is an electrician. He tells me all the time how he'll buy a tool for a specific job that he may never use again. If it breaks after the first use, he's only out a few bucks. I've got a radial arm saw and a planer I spent good $$ on only to have sit in a basement! Wish I went to Harbor Freight first!
