The other day I went looking for my mini-mag flashlight from the drawer in the house. Unable to find for a few days probably due to my little daughter, I went out and bought a new mini-mag.

It's been years since I bought a flashlight, and noticed the new LED mini-mags for about twice the price as the older ones. We have a couple of LED flashlights at work, and really like them. So I bought it. WOW! That is a strong little flashlight. I'm very impressed with my the new LED mini-mag.

Fast-forward to a couple days ago. I ran across my old flashlight (yes, my daughter had it in her bed). So, great I now have a back-up. But then I remembered seeing something at Dick's and went to the store. There's a mini-mag LED upgrade for about $12. I bought it and installed it into my old mini-mag. What a great upgrade.

Highly recommended if you have an older mini-mag sitting around your house.

here's a link to Amazon. This is the kit I got. Like I said...its a great upgrade, I bought my older mini-mag like 8 years ago. So, spending $12 to get a LED flashlight was worth it.

Yes there is an upgrade for all maglights...go to homedepot they have them all...I have several mag lights and upgraded them all if I didnt buy them with the LED...awsome lights!

For the price you cant go wrong...my duty surefire light was 140 and its a badass light but them mini maglights are great for daily house work type things.

I just bought a LED mag light rather then replacing it. Never know when you will need another light! $25 is nothing for a LED maglite! they are great lights!

Sounds like a good deal. I'll have to do the upgrade for the drawer full of mini-mags at work.

A few years ago I bought a Surefire E2e and loved everything about it, except buying batteries for it. A month ago, I picked up a Streamlight Strion. It was expensive ($90 from Amazon) but it's every bit as bright as my old Surefire, throws a wider beam, and a charge seems to last forever.
