Yes we can get along... It was proved last night at the Franklin Township meeting. We had a week to put together a plan and prove that bow hunting is a safe method to control the deer population. I did not know any of the hunters that I emailed or spoke to..I did not know if they hunted over bait or hunted with a crossbow. I did not know if they harvested a button buck or harvested 6 deer so far.. I DID know that they were hunters and they share the same passion as I do for the sport. We made a stand last night and saved our properties. Yes, we can get along!

    Hello Everyone,
Congratulations. We saved the four tracts of land last night at the council meeting! Surprisingly, the council voted last night to keep the 4 tracts of land open. I had no idea that this was going to happen. If it we did not attend the meeting last night I am 100% sure that these lands would have been suspended from the program. United we stand!

I would like to thank Cindy Kuenster for her time last night. Her professionalism influenced the council’s decision on the matter. She is an asset to the F&G department. Also in attendance was Dr. Len Wolgast. His knowledge and experience speaks for itself. Thank you Len.
Also in attendance was Bruce Perone who manages the Montgomery Township Hunt. His facts and data were a big help for our program. Franklin’s plan was based on his successful plan. Thank you Bruce. UBNJ members, myself included were also in attendance and spoke of the safety of bow hunting. Thank you for making it out on this night.
Thank you to all of the hunters that emailed me and attended the meeting. We presented the facts in a professional manner. The results are our reward. We get to keep our properties!
The work is not over as stipulations were made that must be addressed. I will volunteer my services to help improve the program. I will contact the council members and the program manager John Loos to begin the task at hand.

Joe, great job to rally the troops. It was good to meet you and the other supporters there last night. I too would also like to get involved with the program and I will be in touch with John L to do so.

    Again, thanks!!!!
    Aim small, miss small.
