iv been looking for sheds the past three years, but have never tried a trap. This weekend im going to try the green wire between some cedars and a hole under a log; will let you know in future if any work.
Pound coouple of rebar pieces into the ground and sprinkle some corn in the middle. When they go to get the corn they will knock there horns into the stakes and knock them loose. Check the trails leading to and from the stakes to see if they fell off while walking away.
As some one else posted on here, if you find a blown over tree with a one or two foot space between the tree and ground put corn underneath of it and when they go under for the corn they will hit the tree with the antlers and knock them off.
Try putting a corn pile with bungee cord cargo net around it. The deer can fit their heads through it and when the bucks do it will pull their antlers off if they are loose. I have seen a couple rigs like this that worked great.[up]
