Bayonne I was in the scouts as a kid and would be willing to help out. I could also bring a few gun, including a youth gun.

Great move to get the boys involved in the Shooting Sports.

I was approached recently by the wife of one of the Officers I use to work with, about doing something for his wife's Girl Scout Troop. Seems they can earn a "badge" for going to a Horse Farm and learning about the care of Horses.
Well, during the upcoming Easter School break, I now have 2 Girl Scout troops coming for Barn Tours.
I never thought about suggesting to get them involved in the Shooting Sports. HUMMMMMMMMMM ?

I'm sure you mean some short distance trap, not skeet.

Anyway, the Assoc of NJ Rifle & Pistol Clubs (ANJRPC) will have our youth/scout day on May 24 ... all day long, all ranges for the kids. The range is in Highland Lakes, off of Rt 23. Could have a little rimfire fun, too. If interested, the contact for that event is Steve Potts 973-903-6236.

Will DFW let you reserve the trap range? I don't think so ... may be crowded. I don't think they will let you cook there, either. But, I don't know.

i was a guest of marshmud at that gun club/range, cherry ridge. he repaired my browning auto-5 there. everyone that works or volunteers there, when i was there, are really nice people. and the place seemed very big on safety. i bet your scouts will have a good time there, and learn.

    Bayonne,

I'll be out of the State from April 16th through the 26th, but am able to help out. I have three 20 guages 1 SxS, 1 single shot, and 1 Pardner singleshot(youth stock)-I can head up to the range for a weekend day in Late April early May
Lord make me fast and accurate,
May my draw be smooth and unseen
Let my aim be straight and my shot true,

Grant me the skill to make the shots I can,
The restraint to avoid those I can't,
And the wisdom to know the difference,

So that I may be blessed with the bounty you provide

    Amen
