My 1st Toyota 1986 SR5 4 cylinder, 237,000 miles trouble free, still had the original clutch! Other then oil change and brakes/rotors that was it! I even towed a 19 proline center console for years

My Ford f250 2002 crew cab started having issues at 90,000 miles, had to put on average $1200 a year to keep her running! Got 210,000 miles out of her but it was a constant battle. I can make a list.

My 2009 tundra 90,000 miles and knock on wood (other then alternator) she is running strong. Hoping to get 200,000 miles or more out of her.

But like safe hunter says , they are all machines, do to fail at some point.

Fords rust after many years? They all rust, especially if you don't clean the salt off of them. A lot depends on the individual owners and how they care for any make vehicle. Well, this Ford seems to running pretty good. Imagine that! lol

I thought it was funny how the Toyota gets covered with mud. lol The guy in the Toyota has his wheel turned to the right and is still getting dragged.

No one was more diligent about cleaning salt from under their truck than my father. To the point of loosening the inner fenders and cleaning behind them. The truck runs fine. But, the rust and the $ he’s spent to repair it is disgraceful

Not good to hear. Sounds like he is doing what he can to get the salt off.
