    Headed back to salmon river first week of October any suggestions on line choice for spinning tackle?

    any good Penn reel. 17lb. test line. the cheaper the better cause your gonna loose stuff. green or yellow rubber eggs. Gamokatsu hooks.

    I used to use a good quality 17# fluorocarbon line but would tie on about a 5 foot piece of 14# as a tippet. Better to lose 5 feet than get spooled. After many years of using spinning gear I switched over to fly fishing stuff and ultimately caught a lot more fish.
    Btw, if you plan to drift egg sacks get them wrapped in blue, it was always the magic bullet for me.
