Take it from a retired prosecutor-DO NOT-bring back to NJ without a permit-- depending on the caliber and propulsion it will be a 2 DEGREE crime with MANDATORY 3 year jail term. research it first or speak to an atty

In NY State, even with their Draconian laws, you can buy a BB gun, or a muzzleloader for that matter, anywhere. They restrict guns that are traditionally used in the commission of a crime and those 2 gun types are exempt. I bought mine in Walmart. As for whether it's okay to possess in NJ, IDK.

Welcome to the peoples republic of New Jersey. You have no freedom here. Our laws are structured so, everything is left up to interpretation resulting in a permit of some sort. Remember, its all about the money.

Just my 2 cents here. I am not a LEO or a Lawyer. First things first....why would you purchase a pellet (hand gun) for rat or mole extermination. Guarantee, you wouldn't hit a single one. Why not just legally purchase a air rifle here, site it in the best you can and not advertise anything? Air rifle with a scope will serve much better purpose for( training your kids) to shoot.
