If so,any encounters with PA leo's while carrying with the florida permit?I have one and carry every day while working/traveling in the city of Philadelphia ,but have never been in a traffic stop situation where it was asked if I was carrying .Just curious to hear about other ccw holders and experiences.

I have a Florida CCW, along with Maine, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Utah and Virginia. I can (and do) carry in 35 states.

I have been stopped many times while carrying in different states (ok, I tend to drive a bit fast) and have never been asked. Some states require you inform the officer but most do not. Check packing.org for info on what states require you to tell the officer. Some states even have it noted when they call in your license information if you have a CCW for that state. (VA for example)

In any case it's no big deal. Keep your hands where they can see them and be polite. The fact that you have a CCW reassures most officers (in gun friendly states) that you have a clean record.

i had a PA carry permit when i lived there (moved to NJ 6 yrs ago...stupid me).but i heard the FL carry permit is a good thing to get, got to go to a training course though.

funny incident in PA, my buddy was pulled over and the cop asked for his drivers lic, reg & insur info. my buddy went to reach for it in his glove box...paused and put his hands back on the stearing wheeel. the cop asked what's the problem, my buddy replied he did not want the cop to get excited when he opened the golve box. the cop put his hand on his weapon on his belt and said to open the glove box slowly. my buddy did, then put the 9mm on the dash board.

long story short, the cop was impressed the way my buddy handeled it that no driving citation was given. oh, he had a PA concealed permit to carry...

Although handgun training is always a good idea, Florida accepts a Hunters Education card as proof of training.

When you see the way things are done in so many other states you also see how poorly NJ treats its citisens, and to an extent how stupidly it manages its criminals.

I also have a non-resident carry permit from Florida. Here is an interesting debate over at the packing.org web site .....

I'll probably be doing some more in-depth reading.

    and on my property
even that is debatable. I shoot at my house and when I tell people that they warn me I am going to get arrested... None of the people on my road care, they do it to.
