I am a solo hunter, just because of things like that. For me my partner was hunting the hell out of our spots and not telling me he was taking deer and I would wonder why I would not see anything. Solo is better, although I does miss the camaraderie.

I usually get stuck hunting by myself too. Up until to the morning we are supposed to go out, my buddy is all about going. I wake up at 4 and call him and he'd rather sleep. It's frustrating to say the least.
If anyone wants a partner up here in sussex county let me know. I'm new to hunting and could use someone I can learn a thing or 2 from.

Sorry to hear it bud! More deer in the woods for you!

I enjoy hunting with others but the last few seasons I have grown to love hunting by myself mostly due to bow hunting! The freedom is great but I do miss the company now and again!
    YEAH, What Deadbolt said.

Company is GREAT and if you have work to do many hands make light work as they say but I hate being dependant on others or having another guys inability or un reliability effecting either my judgement or efforts. DIY and share the hunt AFTER THE FACT.

I'd have to say that I've been able to hunt with someone this year about 50% of the time (alot more than last year). It's weird. In some ways I prefer to go by myself, mainly because I like to be in my stand earlier than most people do. But for the most part, hunting with friends is always better.

I dont like people for the most part,so hunting w/ them is always a hassle.I prefer to hunt alone
