    Cable/internet service

What's everyone using? I feel like Comcast is killing me at 215 a month for 3 boxes, phone and Internet... I can do without the phone and premium TV channels.. What's my best option. I'd like to cut my bill as much as possible.. Don't have fios in my area.. Tuckerton nj... Thanks

I dropped cable and have Apple TV now. Hulu and Netflix plus tons of great free programs all on demand.

If you don't care about those premium channels or sports (like ESPN) then drop cable TV, get Netflix or Hulu (or both). I actually didn't get rid of cable altogether, I pay $11 for limited basic (which you still get some nice channels - MeTV is the best! ) Add a $9 Netflix account for movies and you have some content to waste away on the couch with. Hulu is comparable in price with Netflix, that gets you some TV shows - I don't know much about Hulu, I don't have it. Amazon Prime has some content too for something like $70 a year (don't have that either)

You can buy a Roku box to stream things like Netflix and Hulu and Amazon content directly to your TV (or use a Wii, XBox or other device like that that has software that can do it - I have a Wii that my kids play with, it has a Netflix app that streams Netflix to my TV). Roku boxes range between something like 40 to 100 bucks - one time fee. There's no subscription you have to get from Roku - it works with your Netflix/Hulu/amazon accounts.

Have you called and bluffed and said you're thinking of going to Direct TV etc..... and what can they do for you to lower your bill? That seems to often work for folks.
