Picked up a 2 stage toro snow blower, guy claimed it was sitting for 3 years and needed carb cleaned. I cleaned the carb and now it runs great but there's a problem.

No matter what gear you put it in, it only goes in reverse? It shifts and if you put it in 1st foward, it will move in reverse slowly, 4th foward and it will move fast in reverse. Any ideas of what it can be? Anyone able to fix it?

ttt for you - I'm happy it started for you! Once its fixed perfect make sure to run it often enough and maybe put some fuel stablizer in it. Check the oil on it as well!

Snow Blowers Are Awesome, you could be missing your left nut and still feal like a man using one. haha

Is the linkage on the trans good or bent? Try removing linkage and putting in gear by hand if still goes in reverse u have a bad trans and will need to walk backwards to blow your snow! Just jump on the motor and hang on so your not walking backwards the whole time

I'm not sure, I think friction disk? Also the auger isn't engaging. Not sure if that has to do with it

the drive disc is on the wrong side of the drive plate. Either assembled wrong or something messed up with the linkage that moves it.

    At least it runs

Lets see some pics and i may be able to help. I swapped out the engine on my MTD and had to flip my friction drive mechanism to get it working properly. Check out donyboy73 on youtube, he has some great videos on fixing equipment.
