Welcome to January hunting. Deer have their Masters now.
Treat fellow hunters the way you would like to be treated.

I know where their approximate bedding areas are. The problem is that they dont even start moving. Usually you hear them at dusk, but now its just so silent. They really wait real dark after 6-7pm. I'll persist until the end of Jan. hopefully I get a chance to get one.

If you stick with it you will get one. I was having the same troubles and then they slipped up and got hungry early! All you need is the day they slip up. I think 90% of the time we lose, we win when they screw up!

Depends on the pressure in your area. Heavy pressure and baiting, the deer dont have to move during the day. Deer, at least on my cams are off baited areas before it gets light out. Less pressure, the earlier they move in the afternoons. Wait for a nice cold afternoon, I think hunting mornings is useless this time of year. You are bumping them out of their beds on the way in. Get back off the bait. Find out where they stage up before dark.

I waited for 3 weeks before hunting this buck, waiting for him to show himself during day light. When he finally felt safe coming out, he was on the ground 1st sit.
Deer with little or no pressure will move all day long. Especially when its cold

I have been hunting pretty hard this season. 2nd year, have still not harvested a deer. I baited another spot far away from my ladder and had deer during light. Yesterday, I tried the climber for the first time, got in early. They came in but at dark. Getting frustrated to say the least. Name: IMG_20160111_112249137.jpg

I have two spots that I bait. Deer come at night to both of these. I went there at 4am one morning, and a buck came at 5, ate until 6 and then left. All I could do is look at its white rear as it was leaving...
Like I said, afternoons are just as futile. Nothing happens until after dark.
As someone mentioned earlier, patience...and waiting for them to make a mistake...
