They are a big issue next to our property as illegal quad and dirk bike riding on Sparta Mountain WMA is notorious. I can tell when high school and later middle school lets out by when the quads begin ripping up and down the roads. No need for a watch.

It's getting really bad, they are tearing up new trails all over Sparta Mt WMA in zone 6. Two bedding areas have been ruined because they are now crisscrossed with new trails.

Surprisingly it's mostly older guys that I see in the woods.

Where I hunt in z18 it's every afternoon between 4-5 o,clock, another pain in the ass is 2 guys from New York are riding dirt bikes every Saturday and Sunday, they told me the bikes are street legal so there aloud, this is in a section of colliers mill.

Quads don't scare deer only if the deer are used to them. But I guarantee that if you drive a quad at one of those deer they will bust lol

would have to agree if they keep buzzing up and down turn them in! If they drive by once the deer avoid them. I have street legal dirt bikes all over where I hunt, ended up going 1/4 mile in the woods to get away from them seems good so far.

They're called Street/Trail bikes-they're equipped with headlights, signals, brake lights, etc...and can be registered/insured and driven on the road just like any other road legal motorcycle. As long as they are registered and insured they are legal, but if they're tearing things up/interfering with hunting they would be just as eligible for a ticket as a guy with registered and insured Jeep doing the same thing.
    Country roads, take me home
