I applied this year for the first time. I live in Pennington and it is close by and my few scouting trips out this year I have seen a ton of deer but no good bucks (probably why they are looking for those who get selected to shoot as many does as possible). Interested to hear from anyone who has participated in the past.

I hunted the mountain for the past 5 yrs.It needs a break for a few years for the herd to multiply again.Way too many does are killed and maybe 5 bucks out of 80 participants. They need to make it so button bucks are not allowed. My dad lives in the middle of all the areas of the mountain.

I have a nice piece off of Barry Road, not that far away. Nice looking, anyway...

Deer numbers are down, plenty of scrub bucks, but the amount of big bucks in the area has really declined, as well as over all numbers, in my experience, anyway.

Speaking with some other guys in the area, they blame it on the hunting clubs, I dont know if it's true, but, either way, I hope it turns around because it's a beautiful area to hunt

Ridiculous amounts of deer on Wilson Rd. I hear from the farmers nothing grows around here in the fields due to such high deer numbers. My corn never makes it past 6 inches tall...... Barely get rye to grow enough to bale. But sure is fun during bow seasons... I see alot of deer.
