If you are a Hunter in NJ you must support all legal methods of hunting-wehether it be bait, drives, dogs, what ever.
Even if the legal method is immoral or not ethical?

For example, let's say the "wonderful" game council allowed deer to be tied to a tree the night before opening day? You would agree and be a true "NJ hunter" simply because its legal? Your answer would have to be Yes in order for you to be consistent.

I also think that "all hunting being banned" is a little far-fetched
Where were you just 2 years ago, when Bill A3275 advanced out of Committee that would have re-organized the Fish& Game Council to include an anti-hunting majority

Its not so "far fetched" its actually a constant battle in NJ.

Even if the legal method is immoral or not ethical?
Deer drives are not immoral nor unethical-they are a common practice throughout the South, and the primary method of hunting deer in Florida, Geaorgia, Alabama, South carolina, and North Carolina (just to say a few) in Fact "stand hunting" in those states is a rarity.

Deer drives have been a staple form of deer hunting even in New Jersey. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it immoral or unethical
Lord make me fast and accurate,
May my draw be smooth and unseen
Let my aim be straight and my shot true,

Grant me the skill to make the shots I can,
The restraint to avoid those I can't,
And the wisdom to know the difference,

So that I may be blessed with the bounty you provide

I love deer drives. And I wouldn't't trade that week for anything. It is such a blast and a great time with my club

MTH- I do support all types of hunting that don’t put other hunters at risk! I grew up doing deer drives on private property but I never really liked it’s just not a safe way of hunting and to call deer drives hunting is a stretch to begin with! If I scout and find a spot to hunt just to kill a 50lb doe well that means more to me than any buck that I killed on deer drives. I’m not saying to ban deer drives altogether just on state land. Keeping hunting safe is the only way to beat the anti’s
