    Daytime Red Fox Hunting

Just curious about how many hunters have had success calling in Reds during the daytime ??
I night hunt most of the time but seem to have fox hang up out of shotgun range so I wanted to try daytime.
    Is it worth it ?

Early and late are good times. Never had any luck during the middle of the day.

I've called a few in this year already, same problem though, not within range. Had one come into my Mojo Critter last Saturday before the snow really starting coming down. He came up behind me, really fast, hit the decoy, got wise and bolted before I could pull the trigger.

I know nothing about hunting foxes however I can say I see them all the time on my trail camera anytime during daylight, 7am-4pm. However I do see them the most early morning 7-9am, then again around 12pm, and finally around dusk the most.

They also come all hours of the night. Not sure if calling them during the day will work but I do see them and they tend to keep to a schedule

Like deer best times are first and last hour of light. You can call
middlw of the day if you know where there holes are and pull them out. But you gotta get writhing 100 yards to convince them. Also if he property you are hunting has a lot of day time activity they will be conditioned to more than likely not move as much during those hours. Good luck

I kill fox in the day very often. Also, I kill them pretty much any time. Not just morning and evening. Today, I watched a Yote hunt for mouse at 12:30p for over 15 minutes.

Yup...first hour and last hour of light. Reds and Greys move pretty dependable this time of year at those times...
