Hello NJHunters, hoping for some advice on zone 12.
I'm a 2nd year bow hunter and hunted last year and some of this year in whitehouse station on a friends piece of land, bad news is he's decided to stop allowing hunting due to pressure and harassment by his older children.
I've looked over the NJ eregulations website and all the public land is Hunterdon Co parks dept, round valley and south branch that all require a special park permit.
Is there actually public land in 12 that doesn't require another permit?
Or if you know some private land I have no problem paying a fee or joining a club.
Due to working 2 jobs I can only hunt on weekends.
    Greatly appreciate any advice.
    Happy hunting
    Rich

Spruce run is public for bowhunting as well and I think Clibton WMA is also up that way.

I believe the South Branch in Hunterdon County(technically half in somerset, half in hunterdon) off of Hillsborough/Three Bridges road, requires a park permit, but it is free. just go to the Hunterdon County Arboretum during business hours to get it. Its free because technically it's still state property, but the Hunterdon County patrols and takes care of it. The other half of the property is called Clover Hill park system that is solely county land and requires a paid park permit. At least, this is how it used to be a couple years ago. The rangers at the park station(arboretum) can tell you all the details.

Word to wise, it gets PACKED during peak deer season, and the clubs normally show up by the bus load during 6 day. however, ive taken a few does out of there in early february when all you run into are rabbit hunters and their dogs.

Just need a zone permit, the buck tags are good for all zones.
