This deer had a broken shoulder last year and was a 10 pointer at 3.5 years old. I left him alone all last year. He put on significant mass since being a 3.5. He has a 21 inch spread with just under 24 inch main beams and 4.5 bases. Here is was in velvet and then not.

Nice trail cam pic of him. Did you happen to tape him?

I did not video him. Could have and should have but I had so many deer on film that i would have maxed out cards each day.

We did several times. Turns out, of the multiple times we measured, it comes out between 134 to 136 gross. Longest tine is only 7 inch. Lose alot on tine length but make up for it slightly on mass. Its 4 inches, out between the 3 and 4.

To be honest more important than the score is the hunt to me. I picked this buck to hunt back in august this year and never deviated. Everything else walked this year. I am just very happy with a shot at a mature NJ buck. Its tough to get them to this age with the pressure around here. We let numberous bucks to the 120's go the past few years, 1 in 10 make it to the next year. Just tough in this area.
